Around here I am in and out of school while the school closure drags into another week. It is not the start of term I had expected and I miss seeing my colleagues properly.
Around here Evelina is coping well with her long days. This year, her bus is so early after her original bus company went bust and her days are long. Today, she managed to get some homework done on the way home at least.
Around here I heard cackling coming from Evelina’s room at bedtime only to find her laughing at the book she is reading. It fills my heart with joy that she has found a book series she loves (Lockwood and Co. by Jonathan Stroud) and that she is sharing this love with a dear friend. They are both reading the same book and discussing it at regular intervals.
Around here Austin has discovered a new CBBC show called the Four O’Clock Club which seems to star Doc Brown. It is a nice change to see him watching ‘proper’ TV as opposed to rubbish clips on YouTube Kids.
Around here I am missing Rich again who has had to have another night away although he is back tomorrow.
Around here we had a fakeaway McWrap (breaded chicken with bacon, lettuce and bbq / mayo sauce. The kids were over the moon!
Around here I attended an online writer’s goal-setting workshop with the London Writer’s Salon which was helpful and inspiring.
