*Sighs in burnout*

There are lots of things that are currently up in the air with a big decision that is looming. Since I have a deadline to make this decision, it makes it even more all-consuming in terms of my thoughts.

As such, bedtime has become a real issue. I struggle to relax at bedtime as it is and often suffer from the superbly named Revenge Bedtime Procrastination.

The reel below explains the concept perfectly if you don’t know what this is! My favourite bit is where it says ‘Ruin tomorrow before it even starts’ because that’s exactly what happens. The thrill of having some alone time and lack of demands comes at the high cost of being exhausted (and in my case, emotional) the next day.

I need to sort out my bedtime routine so I start to have a healthier relationship with going to bed. Some things that have been suggested in my extensive online research:

  • play relaxing music
  • light a candle to create a calming atmosphere
  • use some nice skincare products to feel pampered
  • read
  • meditate
  • PUT THE PHONE DOWN!
