Our Day at Chatsworth

We had a fantastic day at Chatsworth House and even though Rich and I had been earlier this year, we still enjoyed returning and touring the house and gardens, and farm with the kiddos. The house was starting to be decorated for Christmas so we saw a preview of the stunning decorations. Sadly, the bonfire pile ready for the bonfire celebration that evening meant that the view of the house from the famous lawn and pond was somewhat obscured but the beauty of the house and its gardens was not diminished.

The combination of a classic English stately home, the Peak District location, the Capability Brown landscaping, and the link to Pride and Prejudice (it was both the supposed inspiration for Pemberley and its filming location for the most recent film) makes it just the most special place. Here are just some of our photos.
