Yesterday was the first day of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) and for the first time in years, I plan on starting a new novel. Kind of. Since I have stalled so many times with my current work in progress, I have decided to change things up. I am going to be using a couple of the same characters and some of the general background, but I am going to try a different genre with a different outcome.
I may even write it from a different narrative perspective. I have always written in the first person but maybe a shift to the first person will help to inject something fresh. At the very least, I think it will be a worthwhile experiment.
I am most likely going to be taking some of the words I have already written but I will be reworking them to fit the new direction.
