Tonight we are all going to see The Box of Delights at the Royal Shakespeare Company. It is a little early for Christmassy things but we got a great discount on the tickets meaning we have some of the best seats for half price.
The show has been advertised as follows:
A magically festive production for all the family in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre this winter. Orphaned schoolboy Kay Harker is caught up in a battle between two powerful magicians. Can he save Christmas?
I am so excited as we haven’t been to the theatre for ages and certainly not as a whole family. Since Austin is going to the Leamington pantomime with school, it is unlikely we will go this year (which is a shame as I am such a massive fan of the panto dame J P McCue). So this may be our only Christmas show.
And I am definitely getting more excited about Christmas this year with some loosening of the ‘No Christmas Before Evelina’s Birthday’ rule (as well as seeing this show, we bought some decorations yesterday and I have my Christmas cards already so hopefully I can get them out nice and early for a change this year).
