A couple of months ago, I started a challenge to blog every day for the rest of 2023. So far, I have managed to do so and today is Day 60. As a reminder, my intentions for the last 100 days of 2023 were:
to adorn my home with seasonal decor– our autumn decor has just been taken down in preparation for the upcoming birthday!- to drink hot drinks outside with a blanket under our gazebo – we have put away our cushions now but this may still happen.
- to watch my favourite films of the season – so far I have watched 5 out of 10!
to visit a pumpkin patch and carve pumpkinsto walk in the woods with wellies- to write in a park
- to visit an arboretum – this one may not happen this year but we have had so many woodland walks I don’t really mind.
- to bake some snickerdoodles – I think this would be a good thing to do once the Christmas decorations are up.
to do some Halloween craftsto go trick or treating with the kids- to plan a magical Christmas – in progress!
- to read some seasonal novels. – I have read and loved number 2, and abandoned number 4 – just not my bag.
Overall I am super pleased with how the season has gone. My decision about my future has certainly allowed me to appreciate the fun parts of this time of year. I can enjoy things, be present, and relax and I am so much more productive and inspired. I am feeling energised for the last 41 days of the year.
