On Thursdays and Fridays, my mornings look a little different to the rest of the week. A little less hectic. One of the things I have started doing recently is spending a bit of time reading some non-fiction while I have my morning cup of tea and toast. I have put my planner, writing journal and the non-fiction book I am reading in a basket in the lounge so it is easy to access.
I am currently reading Why Has Nobody Told Me This Before? by Julie Smith. It is a practical book about taking care of your mental health and it is most informative. I also have these lined up:
- Menopausing by Davina McCall (perimenopause is a pretty horrendous surprise for my 40s)
- Start with Hello (And Other Simple Ways to Live As Neighbours) by Shannan Martin (about connecting with others in your community which is a goal for 2024)
- The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle (I feel like I could do with some spiritual enlightenment)
- The Sociopath Next Door by Dr Martha Stout (borrowed from a friend – a fascinating subject).
