Today we took a tour of Villa Park, home to Aston Villa Football Club, to the delight of my Villa-loving family. The tour took us around the various hospitality areas, into the changing rooms and through the tunnel to the pitch (which were NOT allowed to touch!). The grounds crew were preparing the pitch for tomorrow’s game against Burnley. It gave Austin immense pleasure to immediately out me as a Manchester United fan (not great timing after our recent victory against AVFC) but it was all in good fun as the guide joked with me throughout the tour.
After the tour, we had a three-course lunch in the 87 Restaurant (absolutely delicious) and then we went into Birmingham centre to watch Wonka at the cinema. Wonka was dazzling and engaging. We all loved it.
