I have enjoyed making this list. I have moved over a couple of things that I didn’t manage in 2023, and I have tried to spread think about the different themes that matter to me: travel, family, hobbies, writing, work, home and connection / community.
I will be sharing my progress here and on Instagram over the year. I have already managed to tick something off after spending a gruelling day yesterday working on my CV. It feels good to have that done.
TRAVEL
- Visit three new castles.
- Visit three new National Trust properties.
- Go abroad on holiday.
FAMILY
- Take the kiddos to a new museum or art gallery.
- Have a Yes Day.
- Go to the theatre.
- Go on a special date or trip with Rich.
HOBBIES
- Make Project Life albums or photobooks for 2020 – 2023.
- Embroider something.
- Make a Christmas ornament.
- Read Beloved by Toni Morrison.
WRITING
- Outline a new novel.
- Go on an artist’s date
- Complete a zero draft of my existing novel.
- Find a writing buddy.
WORK
HOME
- Establish a morning and evening routine.
- Sell or get rid of all our unwanted stuff.
- Put pictures up in the living room.
CONNECTION / COMMUNITY
- Volunteer at a local charity or school.
- Have a dinner party.
- Visit somewhere with a friend.
