Family Memories: Finishing Our 2019 Project Life Album

One of the items on my 24 in 2024 list was to complete a Project Life album. I have so far completed from July 2014 until the end of 2018 and I wasn’t sure if I should just start with this year and live with the gap.

What I love about this approach is that you get a slice of life each week. Rather than just focusing on the special occasions or holidays, it is a way to see how we live as a family – the things we get up to and the small successes that might not otherwise make it into a traditional family album.

It turns out that I couldn’t live with leaving a gap so I am delighted to say that a few weeks ago, I finished our 2019 album. It was so much fun to relive that year – my parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, Rich turned 40, and we visited Massachusetts with our friend Phil and his daughter.

I did not include as much of the ephemera that I usually include – mainly because I forgot all about it until I had already finished – but I did manage to stick in some cinema tickets and save some cards using the wallet inserts.

I am definitely feeling motivated to get more albums completed so that eventually, I am up to date and can put them together weekly rather than tackling whole years at a time.
