Watching: Silo on Apple TV+ – Rich and I only started this the other day but we are already hooked. Based on Hugh Howey’s series which start with Wool (never read but always meant to!), this sci-fi drama is set in a bunker after some unidentified event made living outside impossible. Or so we think. It has a great cast, brilliant production value and it is so, so gripping – I love this kind of telly when you are excited to watch more. Also Season 2 of Shrinking, also on Apple TV+. Hilarious, heartwarming and great comfort TV (with a lot of swearing).

Reading: The Last to See Me by M. Dressler – this spooky mystery is from the point of view of a ghost inhabiting an old house in Northern California. Even a hundred years after her death, she still roams the rocky coves and crumbling cliffs of her seaside village. Then a relentless hunter shows up, hired to clear her out of her one refuge and home. In this world, ghosts have mostly been hunted and cleared but Emma is still here.

Eating: Parkin, pumpkin muffins, and toasted marshmallows.

Drinking: Spiced Pumpkin Pie Tea from Bird and Blend

Feeling: Lousy. I have had another terrible cold this week which is my second bad cold (or Covid?!) in a month.

Writing: Nothing yet. But I have started planning again. Which is a start.
