Reviewing my 24 in 2024

I have made a pretty good dent in my list of things to do in 2024:

TRAVEL

  1. Visit three new castles. (Windsor Castle, Skenfrith Castle, Raglan Castle, White Castle) FOUR castles not including ice skating at Warwick Castle!
  2. Visit three new National Trust properties. (Charlecote, Baddesley Clinton, Packwood House and Canons Ashby so far)
  1. Go abroad on holiday.

FAMILY

  1. Take the kiddos to a new museum or art gallery.
  2. Go to the arcades!
  3. Go to the theatre.
  4. Go on a special date or trip with Rich.

HOBBIES

  1. Make Project Life albums or photobooks for 2019 – 2023.
  2. Embroider something.
  3. Make a Christmas decoration.
  4. Read a book that has been on my TBR pile for over 2 years: The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson.

WRITING

  1. Outline a new novel.
  2. Go on an artist’s date
  3. Complete a zero draft of a novel.
  4. Find a writing buddy.

WORK

  1. Write a new CV and update LinkedIn.
  2. Research new ventures.
  3. Start a new job or start a new company.

HOME

  1. Establish a morning and evening routine.
  2. Sell or get rid of our unwanted stuff.
  3. Put pictures up in the living room.

CONNECTION / COMMUNITY

  1. Help a local charity or school.
  2. Have a dinner party.
  3. Visit somewhere with a friend.

There are some things which I didn’t get to which I am a bit frustrated about. My writing life in 2024 was not what I expected post-teaching. And I still haven’t put the pictures up in our living room – although I do now have all the pictures ready to go so you can expect to see this again in my 25 things for 2025 list which will be coming soon!
