Five Non-Fiction Books for 2025

The beginning of the year always seems to feel like a non-fiction kind of time for reading. I have physical copies of all the following books which will also support my reading goal of reading 40 physical books in 2025.

  1. The Plan by Kendra Adachi – this book on time management has been written for women by a woman which is particularly pertinent as 97% of time management books have been written by men. I am looking forward to Kendra’s big sister energy and her sensible approach to getting stuff done.
  2. Witches: James I and the English Witch Hunts by Tracy Borman – I find this subject fascinating and this will also serve as potential research for a future story. I just today watched the Lucy Worsley Investigates episode on the witch hunts and want to find out more.
  3. Start with Hello: (And Other Simple Ways to Live as Neighbours) by Shannan Martin – this is a book about connection and community. Right up my street!
  4. Short Circuit: A Guide to the Art of the Short Story by Vanessa Gebbie – I have had this writing book for a while but I have not dipped into it yet. Since I am struggling with the form of novel, perhaps trying some short stories might suit me better?
  5. Mumboss by Vicki Broadbent – this one is to give me inspiration and a boost with my entrepreneurial goals for 2025.
