We refined my new reading spot over the weekend with a chair which is actually comfortable to sit in and so I spent a few minutes there enjoying the new space, reading an old journal. I have so many journals which have just the first 10-20 pages with writing and I was thinking I should just sling them all out when I read a few entries I wrote in 2017. Here is one of them:

I can barely remember Evelina being this small. She would have been six years old, in Year 1. It is a small moment and an ordinary one but it filled me with such emotion reading it eight years later.
I will not be throwing this notebook away.
