Five Shows for 2025

There are some brilliant TV shows returning for new seasons in 2025. Here are five I am eagerly waiting to watch:

1. Severance – this Apple TV+ is worth the cost of the subscription alone. It is brilliant television. We rewatched the first season in preparation for season two which starts on 17 January and I enjoyed it just as much.
2. The Last of Us – this adaptation of the video game was a real highlight last year and I am bracing myself for season two.
3. Stranger Things – the final season of this gripping (and sometimes terrifying) show is coming some time this year.
4. Reacher – we finally got the Reacher we deserved with Alan Ritchson and this show is a fun, action-packed escape.
5. Slow Horses – this spy drama is another Apple TV+ hit – Gary Oldman is sublime as the disheveled, irritable, crass, and sharp-tongued spy who is actually masking a strategic brilliance and loyalty to his team.
