A couple of months ago, I started a challenge to blog every day for the rest of 2023. So far, I have managed to do so and today is Day 60. As a reminder, my intentions for the last 100 days of 2023 were: to adorn my home with seasonal decor - our autumn decor… Continue reading Mid Challenge Review

Golden Hour
Another Sunday, another walk in the woods. I love these bright afternoon walks which give us time to catch up properly with each other, spend time in nature and get some time away from the to-do list all while giving Harper a really good run with lots of lovely woodland smells for her to explore.
New Threads
We popped to the shops today and Rich wanted to look for shirts in Crew Clothing Company. I was very pleasantly surprised to see lots of things that I liked and that were in my size. I spotted the blouse on the right and liked it immediately. Rich saw the sweater on the left and… Continue reading New Threads
The Power of Pampering
I had my hair done this morning and I feel like a new woman. The whole experience is rejuvenating. I go to Pelo Hair which is on the row of shops at Warwick Gates. The salon itself looks lovely and restful. The stylists are all so welcoming and friendly. The act of having someone comb,… Continue reading The Power of Pampering

Walking Thoughts

It sounds like Meg Ryan's and Tom Hanks's characters in You've Got Mail as they write to each other. Their conversations start in the middle and are full of little profound observations like: Do… Continue reading Walking Thoughts

Socks from Seasalt Cornwall - I love their cosy socks! 3. An apron for Christmas morning. Bonus points if it's Disney-related. 4. Some new boots -… Continue reading Five Things on My Christmas List

Around here Rich and the kiddos have been having a Day of Fun including bowling, Five Guys, shopping, arcades then the Bear Grylls Adventure with archery lessons and… Continue reading Around Here
Lest We Forget
Wilfred Owen was a soldier in World War I. He was sent to Craiglockhart Hospital suffering from shellshock where he met fellow poet Siegfried Sassoon. While there, he wrote much of his poetry. He was sent back to the front in July 1918 and was killed in action on 4th November 1918, a week before… Continue reading Lest We Forget
