Book Review: The Knife of Never Letting Go

The Knife of Never Letting Go (Chaos Walking, #1)The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It has been a little while since I have been able to read a book purely for pleasure which gripped so hard and so fast. I could not put this book down – I loved it! The dystopian future is pretty bleak; for the surviving men, there is a barrage of noise: the thoughts, desires, dreams, truths and lies of men are heard by everyone. Nothing is secret. Or so Todd, the protagonist, thought. When he is forced to run away from his surrogate parents, he quickly learns that everything he thought he knew about his life and his world was a twisted lie.

I will most definitely be reading the rest of the Chaos Walking series not least because this first volume ended on a cliffhanger – excruciating for someone like me who has so many books to read that moving straight on to the next is just not an option! Damn you, Ness!
