Looking at my 23 in 2023 List, there are only four things left that I haven’t done. Here they are, from most likely to be completed to least:
Embroider something
There is still time for me to do this. I found this cute tutorial on YouTube and may well do this on Wednesday.
Make a Scrapbook
This is also very unlikely to happen and certainly not before Christmas. I may do this between Christmas and New Year but it is much more likely in the new year when I have some more time on my hands. I will be using up my Project Life supplies to make a year book.
Read Beloved by Toni Morrison
I have been wanting to read this for years and I bought the book from the Harvard book shop in 2019. Every time I go to pick it up, I shy away from it, knowing it will be a brilliant but harrowing read. Maybe this is one for 2024?
Finish the first draft of my novel
My most recent writing stint has taken my first draft apart so drastically, that I am not sure I can put it back together again. I need head space and time to think this over as I am not sure whether to keep flogging what may be a dead horse (I have learned I have a tendency to do this – see my teaching career) or whether to start over with something new. This is not happening this year.
