I Know This is True

Cooking on the barbeque in the summer and having just grilled meat with salad for most of our meals is the best. I know this is true.

I am not cut out to be a primary teacher. Spending a couple of hours with some Year One age children (i.e. Austin’s age) whilst I chaperoned at Evelina’s dance show has convinced me that I should not entertain a move to the primary phase of our school. I know this is true.

I should not leave marking books until Sunday night as I never have the energy to do them after a busy weekend. I know this is true.

I love the hot weather but hate melting in the hot weather. I know this is true.

I am not a fan of having lesson observations in the penultimate week of the school year. I know this is true.

My parents are amazing for sitting through the whole of the dance show to watch Evelina’s class do their 3-minute acro dance in the ferocious heat. I know this is true.

Her dance was by far the best dance in the show. Not kidding. I know this is true.

I need to find a writing accountability partner over the summer to kickstart my writing again as I miss it. I know this is true.

I am so over the Sunday scaries – thank goodness there is just one more Sunday to go after today before the summer break. I know this is true.
