One of the 23 in 2023 things (which was also on my 22 in 2022 list) is to find a writing accountability partner. I still very much want to do this as I am most certainly an Obliger by Gretchen Rubin’s tendencies and work much better if I need to meet outer expectations. However, rather than wait until I finally get around to finding somebody, I wonder, dear reader (are you out there? reading this?), if I might ask you to be my accountability partner in the meantime?
I will post the current word count of my novel’s first draft here now and again in a month’s time. Hopefully, the number will have grown! Here it is at the moment: 23, 365 words (with the evidentiary screenshot to boot):
