I have mentioned previously how I occasionally enjoy the process of writing a ta-dah! list as opposed to a to-do list. Instead of focusing on what I still need to do, it helps me to identify what I have actually managed to achieve. Here is some of my ta-dah! list for the weekend:
- Planned the week’s meals;
- Ordered the online grocery shopping;
- Stood in a soaking park watching Austin play football thus improving his chances of being picked for a team;
- Bought birthday presents for a friend and for one of Austin’s classmates;
- Picked up Waterstones gift cards which they had reissued for me as I had lost the originals. Amazing customer service.
- Made breakfast for dinner with waffles, bacon, eggs, and fruit as promised to Austin;
- Read some of two of the books I am currently reading, Shadow and Bones by Leigh Bardugo and The Lost Tide Warriors by Catherine Doyle;
- Caught up on Happy Valley;
- Wrote a couple of blog posts;
- Stayed up-to-date with my Line a Day Journal;
- Helped Austin with a painting and his homework;
- Spent quality time with Evelina in the kitchen as she baked, cooked dinner, and made lunch today;
- Took Harper for a walk.
Not bad for a relatively quiet weekend.
