Book 1 of 2023: Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour by Morgan Matson.
Although I love writing and I love reading, I do not really enjoy writing book reviews. I think I find it difficult to convey my thoughts about a book without spoiling it and I tend to only want to write about the books I definitely loved. This year, I will try to track my reading with Tiny Book Reviews which will give a very quick overview of the type of book I read, the format on which I read it, and what I thought.
My first read of 2023 was finishing a Kindle book I started ages ago in 2022. It is Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour by Morgan Matson. And being a Kindle Book, I have already ticked off one of my 23 in 2023 list which is an added bonus! This was a fun, Young Adult romance and adventure which also had some poignant moments where Amy is dealing with grief and the subsequent rupture of her family. It took the titular characters across America which definitely scratched a yearning for a road trip itch (for now at least!).
